Pre School

In Pre-School, children learn through meaningful experiences, practical activities, purposeful play, and exploration. Our aim is to prepare them for their next steps in school, both academically and socially, while igniting a passion for learning and fostering independence, self-led learning, and enquiry skills. Our dedicated Clock Tower provides a stimulating indoor and outdoor space, offering varied activities and play tailored to each child’s individual level, ensuring learning is always fun.

Our children feel happy, safe, valued, and secure, which leads to endless accomplishments. We develop children across all seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development; Communication and Language; Literacy; Mathematics; Knowledge and Understanding of The World; and Expressive Arts and Design.

"Leaders in the early years plan a stimulating and varied curriculum which encourages children to learn and play actively."

Our dedicated staff meticulously craft a motivating, engaging, varied, and challenging curriculum. We heavily emphasize language, communication, and early literacy skills, including phonics, to build confident readers—with many children reading before Reception. Children also develop number recognition, counting, and mathematical concepts, alongside fine motor skills for early writing, and creativity through arts and crafts. Our half-termly themes offer rich, first-hand experiences, discussions, and practical engagement, complemented by creative role-play and messy play. Specialist teachers lead weekly PE, Drama, and Music lessons, while our computing suite provides hands-on experience with Bee-Bots and iPads, focusing on keyboard and mouse control, fostering confidence and exploration of the world.

Parental partnership is central to our approach, and we regularly host events that immerse you in your child’s learning. Parents are often impressed by our young children’s musical talents, singing abilities, and confident performances. You’ll have opportunities to see your child shine at events like the Nativity play, Easter Bonnet Parade, and Sports Days.
