Every week we have Environmental Studies in the Spinney.  We explore living things under the stones and logs, always mindful not to disturb the natural habitat. We plant and cultivate, research and stare in awe and wonder at what nature can do!  These lessons are where all our children have the opportunity to breathe the air, nurture the growth of food and flowers, participate in weather studies and scientific enquiry, and to practise the art of caring for the environment and for their resources.  Indoor learning time allows children the opportunity to look in detail at their world – its changing environment, the need for sustainability, and how they, as global ambassadors, must uphold the beliefs; reduce, reuse, recycle and embrace the changes we all need to make to save our planet. Our aim is to encourage an avid ‘eco-warrior’ in every child.
