Broughton Manor children are encouraged to bring their creativity to Design Technology lessons and our specialist teachers help them gain the necessary skills to put those super ideas into working models.  We cover a wide range of themes and use a large variety of materials which provides the opportunity for discussions about sustainability and environmental impact. 

Children learn to use saws, drills, hammers, wood files and sandpaper as well as needles and thread. The subject is cross curricular, and children are encouraged to draw on maths, English, science, computing and art skills frequently, using them in a fun, practical way. By the time our children leave us they are armed with the skills they need to make ambitious choices about their own futures.
